Seeking help
Hi guys! I am seeking some advice.
I am a 22yr old female currently in her senior year of college. I am studying psychology and creative writing and hope to be attended graduate school next year to begin my path of becoming a licensed counselor. I work three part-time jobs on top of a full-time class load and have managed to maintain a 4.0 all the while paying my own (minor) bills each month. I must say that it is pretty darned impressive.
Nonetheless, I can't help but feel like I am not good enough. There is this inseparable belief inside of me that there is something inalienably wrong or bad inside of me, and it keeps me from being able to truly connect to and trust others. I am convinced that there is something so uniquely different about me that I will never feel like I belong anywhere, both contextually and socially.
What is self-esteem, really? How can I foster it? What are some things that could or should be done to value myself and believe in my capability more? I feel like an imposter everywhere I go, even though nobody sees it amd nobody knows how lonely, detached, and invisible I feel all of the time.
@HoeForHope
You should be proud of all youve achieved and sacrificed.
People can tell us till they are blue in the face how good we are, how worthy we are, but until we believe the words ourselves, it's pointless.
It's about consistency.
Putting yourself out of your comfort zone.
Sending you my best wishes 💜💕

Your effort and achievement speaks for itself. what makes you think "you are not enough"? perhaps you can take yourself on as a client and counsel yourself. what would you advise to someone who wrote the post you have.
Who are you measuring yourself against? self-esteem is knowing you are capable and do your best not proving it to anyone else but yourself. If you do not believe in yourself... who will? we all grow into what we will become.
Others act often IMO overconfident and hope no one notices they too are unsure or feel like an imposter.
OMG, I am the same way. I thought I was the only one who felt this.
You are so good...be hopefully and encourage yourself everyday...its worth it.
Side note: I aspire to be like you can you give small advice on your studies...
Keep up the good work
