Spirit Halloween

I came to a city that’s an hour away to see all the Halloween decor at Spirit Halloween and I think I came too late in the season so there wasn’t much left of what I wanted or wanted to see so I’m a bit disappointed. I’m also feeling disappointed because I wanted to have a good day and enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and he doesn’t seem to find any enjoyment at all in what we came to do so I just feel like time was wasted if he felt like there were better or other things to do.

@GhostandGrimoire

🥺

I'm truly sorry things didn't go as you'd planned and you both didn't have the fun you wanted 💜💕

It’s okay! Thank you. We did end up stopping at a few more places! He’s just a grumpy old man as he likes to call himself 😂 (he’s 29 eye roll 🙄😂) he just likes to stay home. He gave me some money and told me “here ya go babe, go shop and I’ll wait in the car.” So I shopped for an hour, he online shopped in his car on his phone for an hour and then we came home and didn’t do a damn thing because it’s what he likes to do 😂

I'm sorry to hear that things didn't go as planned. I can understand how it could be disappointing when things don't turn out the way we expect, or when those we are trying to share our time with aren't showing a lot of interest in what we've planned. I hope that you're able to find some other spooky Halloween related events to attend before the time passes.

That’s okay! Spirit Halloween was a little lame regarding the home decor part because we went a little too late in the season which sucks. I display Halloween and witchy stuff year round. It matters and means so much to me. I’m just glad we got to go and he let me shop by myself so that was kind of nice because then I wasn’t rushed while he felt like I was dragging him along haha. He online shopped in his car while I shopped in-store. It was a win-win for both of us because then we came home and did nothing hahaha

@GhostandGrimoire awww, I'm sorry the day didn't turn out well. But hey, maybe you can get a little creative with what you got and what you already have? Maybe you can make something cool 😊

Also, a little tip for next year, don't shop with your bf unless he usually enjoys it, take your mom, sister or friend and make it a girls day 😊 guys are notorious shop haters. For example, we tend to scout shops first with my mom when my dad, brother or grandpa need something because of their signature spends 2 minutes in the shop, looks at the first thing on the rack and goes mehhh. Nothing here. I wanna go home.

So we check the shops first, make a notes app list of what potential things they have in which store and then just drag them directly to the already scouted options. + We get an extra shopping session out of it (and I get to be the one who whines 😂😂😂)

Haha it’s reasonable! He did end up online shopping on his phone while I in-store shopped. He took me to some other stores and gave me some money and basically said “here babe! Have at it!” Which worked out great for me because I could shop without feeling rushed. I don’t really have anyone else or friends to do these things with. My boyfriend is my best friend. He’s just done way more in life and gone out and done more than I ever have and he’s a homebody because he doesn’t like the generalized public 😂 haha me neither realistically. I’m not here for them though, I’m just tryna shop privately without being bothered. My boyfriend did great for that 🥰 thank you though too, I should try to make friends but I don’t know how to. I used Bumble BFF last year and that ended up backfiring horribly. I became friends with this girl who was low-key kind of really obsessive and she told me I shouldn’t even be with my boyfriend and stuff. I’m a little hesitant overall. I just know I don’t have friends. I find other ways to shop and do things to get out though too. My boyfriend is as he likes to say a “grumpy old man.” He’s 29 rolls eyes hahaha

@GhostandGrimoire I see your boyfriend is a very supportive partner for you and you have your rythm that works for you, what is awesome to see 😊 but yeaaaa, don't friend shop on apps, people on there have way too much chance to be toxic. Protect your mental peace 🌻🌻🌻

@GhostandGrimoire

I totally understand I’ve been married 31 years and it’s hard to find something we both enjoy. Maybe tell him if he will do this thing you enjoy you will in turn do something he enjoys and maybe you can find something you both like! ❤️

He’s a homebody and gets grumpy when he has to go out. We did end up going shopping later and he waited for me in the car while I shopped and he online shopped on his phone. It all still worked out for us either way 🥰
