When it comes to suffering from a neurological difference in our brains. We can sometimes feel the need to get help. Well in my case, all I've ever had was therapist after therapist until I eventually stopped. Paying someone to listen to the amount of pain you are feeling or have felt in your life; its hard! What seems to make it harder is when the person doesn't even seem to care almost like they only have robotic answers. Obviously I don't think they are robots and they have to care atleast a little, right? Everyone I've ever talked to, apologized to me and just confirmed; I needed help. However, I never truly felt like I ever got it. I'd introduce myself, tell my story, and then either be turned away, they would cry, or say "how does that make you feel now?". Really, I have no idea.. I'm typically a person to put the past in the past and move on. My trauma doesn't seem to like that, and finds me in my dreams to bring me right back to the scene of the crime... making me feel like I have to relive those actions, feelings, and just overall helplessness till I can wake up. By the time I wake up, the damage is done; the negative emotions are all there and now I can't even sleep...

Hello to you 💙

That's exactly how trauma works, I see how impacting traumatic dreams can be, once someone wakes up the dream is gone but all the emotions are there and more thoughts start playing their negative role.

It's not good to have the sensation that nobody cares, the experience with the paid therapist feels like something one never wish to see.
