Welcome Committee Team: Quick FYIs & Reminders
Hi, lovely people! Thanks for all the great work you've been doing! Meeting our newbies at the front door is making a huge difference in funneling all members into our lovely community. We've welcomed 3548 so far and I know those numbers will continue to ramp up, thanks to you!
Just a few quick notes from me:
!! Please remember to send follow-up PMs !! Even if the member doesn't respond to your first message, we still want to check up on them.
If they do not reply to you at first, send a checkin PM the next day. If they do respond you can wait a few days to checkin. Timeliness is a huge component here!
Please mark the Sent column for your 2nd PM.

Break your PMs up, so rather than one big text wall copy/paste, send your welcome in a couple pieces. The question at the end to prompt their response should be the last PM you send. That way we don't look like bots as I have noted in your guys' experience on the sheet 😂
Why do you keep putting WP on your rows, H? WP = Welcome Pack! Every time I distribute it I note that I do, so we can be sure newbies are getting resources.
Are my 2nd PMs counted in my quota? Yes, the welcome & followup PMs are combined! You can check out your status on the PM Tracking tab or ask me.
So we're sending questions with our PMs now? Yes! We want to take a more assertive approach and asking a question breaks the ice and encourages engagement. Check out the templates doc for ones you can use (this link is also always on the dashboard)! Other examples to conclude your welcome message: "How are you enjoying 7 Cups so far?" "What are you hoping to get out of 7 Cups?"
Now to you! Do you have any questions or feedback? Let me know. Thanks, team!
💙👋

It sounds like we're doing an incredible job welcoming new members! Thanks for sharing those updates and the helpful reminders. Yes, being asked if you're a bot is kind of funny and also shows that the welcome greeting definitely needs to be fine-tuned to sound human/have personality. I like the idea of breaking up the messages to seem less bottish/AI.
