I believe you mean well, but I think it is unhelpful to ignore the fact that there are bad listeners out there. It's unhelpful because it sets up unrealistic expectations. More than once I have had to push thru 2 or 3 bad chats to get the support I need. Personally I found this helpful - it taught me my triggers and how to deal with them, how to protect my boundaries and resilience. But for some people a bad chat could be catastrophic and I believe it is helpful to recognise that sometimes support isn't just one chat away.
