Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.

I'm curious: what was the best thing that happened to you this week?
Did something put a smile on your face? 💕

I had moved schools recently and I was sort of a big deal at my old school? I was a big influence to my hs orchestras and the band too since I joined their Drumline for the first time last fall. I was very quiet in introverted (which I really regret) during the fall season. It wasn’t until a week or two before I moved that I started to really open up to my band friends. I have always been open to my orchestra friends since we’ve known eachother since middle school. There was an inside joke that went around during the end of the fall season in marching band and I didn’t think much of it really. I wanted to join their winter Drumline and get a deeper connection with these people than I did in the fall but I couldn’t because I was moving and my new school wasn’t doing indoor percussion this year. New challenges came along once I moved and I was experiencing the start of what I think is an identity and existential crisis. DPDR was hitting me like a truck daily. Then I got a message from my closest band friend (she’s absolutely awesome) and it was a video my band friends in the winter Drumline at the end of competition waving a flag with the inside joke in it and holding it up in a sort of honor. Am I mascot now? Idk haha? But it made me overfill with wholesomeness. To have only known these people for a few months and be someone to them. I don’t know how to explain this feeling but there was peace in a way. I won’t go into detail since I wouldn’t know how to explain it. My orchestra friends have done some similar things but it simply doesn’t compare somehow. I don’t know how to explain it but sometimes I wish my orchestra friends were more present with Me as a person. And you’d think they’d be closer since I’ve known them longer

I went on a date with a really pretty girl. It's hard for me to feel connectioned to people, or attractive at all. It's hard for me to make friends and most people look at me in disgust. It was nice to be asked and taken out like that :)

We went to my favorite Mexican place, I was kinda sad bc Ive been struggling with eating and was nervous about eating in front of her. She got more than me and honestly we didn't have a lot of time to eat because we were talking. we have the same favorite movies and like the same music. We also have similar world views. and I made her laugh, it was so fun!! We ended up staying for a long time to where the restaurant kept checking on us and asking if we wanted to-go boxes. She drove me home and we kissed goodbye.

It was wild. I don't think I've been taken on a proper first date before. A date with someone who thinks I'm fun and wants to stick around me. it's so nice.
