I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself I’m a listener on 7 Cups, and I’ve been here for about 5 years now. Over time, I’ve talked with so many different people, each with their own stories, struggles, and strengths.

My style as a listener is very calm, patient, and understanding. I’m not here to judge or rush you, and I don’t believe in forcing conversations. I tend to listen more than I speak, and I really care about creating a space where you can just be however that looks for you in the moment.

💭 Reaching out is… scary sometimes

I think one of the hardest parts of being here especially when you’re new is actually reaching out.

It can feel intimidating to open up to someone you don’t know. You might wonder if your feelings are “too much”… or not enough. You might worry about being misunderstood, or not knowing what to say, or even just hitting “send.”

That hesitation? It’s so real. And honestly, it makes sense.

Opening up means being vulnerable, and vulnerability can feel uncomfortable, especially if you’ve been holding things in for a long time.

But here’s the gentle truth:
Even though it’s scary, reaching out can also be the first step toward feeling a little less alone.

It doesn’t have to be a big, perfectly worded message. It can be messy, short, unsure whatever feels manageable. What matters is that you allowed yourself to take that step.
