name is adam and have a situation
recently my family has been at odds with my sisters family due to a situation that happened about a month ago. Their 4 year old son shot my daughter in the eye with a dart gun, the room got heated between my wife and sister as my wife tried to take care of our child who was shot point blank in the eye. We decided it was time to leave the party to attend to my daughters eye. We left the party and I'm sure their were heated words. but after we left my sisters husband decided to write a nasty text to me calling my wife a creature. Which i was in full rage about this text that was not needed. now my family is mad that I'm not engaging any of the family outing due to my feeling is if he says a snarky comment i may do something i regret, just looking for some outsiders prospective case all i hear is from my family and the other family and honestly feel like my family is turning on me due to me standing by my wife

It seems odd that a family stands by a group that did not take a possible eye injury as a serious incident. They never put themselves in your shoes and i feel become snarky as a defense ploy.
Take your time and stand by your wife and child ...sooner or later someone in your family will see your point or if not they simply are not paying attention.
i hope there was not serious long term damage to your child eye.
