Ahhh… I’ve done a lot of dumb things with friends but one of my favorite was when me and some friends were playing Minecraft. It was supposed to be an only survival world but one of my friends had creative since they were the creator of the server. Funny enough they gave me a spawn egg for a ravager and I placed it inside one of my other friends house while both of them were inside. Chaos ensued. And chat just became a long text of deaths from ravagers. Both of them couldn’t even get out since they’d be killed in one hit every time they respawned… just a story I like to look back on and laugh.
Trust them thinking they were my "friend"
Does my husband count? Lol. Cw drug possession, police, detention
Tl;dr: My husband and I were taken in at the Canada/US border for m*rijuana possession on the way to a campground.
We were going to Canada to go camping during spring break in 2018. We of course were stopped at the US/Canada border. They asked us if we had any m*rijuana on us... We both felt too guilty to lie to her, so we said we had what we had. The officer (monty?) rolled her eyes at us, tjat she HAD to take us in for admitting to it, and later was even telling another officer that SHE felt dumb for even asking. She thought we would "lie like normal people" and she was going to let us through 😂 But because we were honest, she had to detain us. My husband actually ended up being arrested that night, not jailed though, and I was detained, but they let us go after a thorough search of my car. It was dumb because it was illegal, and apparently we should've lied. It was also dumb because by the time we finally got to our campsite, it was raining and around midnight... and closed 😆 we turned around into Washington State and were fortunate to find a hotel, and continue our trip elsewhere.
***Disclaimer: Try not to lie to the police, especially in the US, as that can be dangerous.
We did loads of stupid things... Among my favorites was one snowy winter night we decided to climb a tree drunk.
Dumbest thing I've ever done with a friend:
So me and my friend (we'll call her maddy) went to the mall together, I hadn't seen her in about two years so this was really exciting. We shopped, joked around for awhile before discovering that the mall we were in had a wishing pool. (One of those water fountains that you put change in for a wish.) Maddy told me she had a really good idea, I asked her what it is and she told me.
"Let's get the money out of the pool, we can buy more stuff!"
little 12 year old me thought this was the best idea I've ever heard despite being timid I agreed to stand watch.
I was expecting she'd stick her hand in.
not her whole body.
i was wrong.
i watched as maddy gathered literally a small backback full of these old coins, she climbed out literally soaking wet with a smile on her face.
what makes this even better is as we were leaving the mall, we saw a camera pointed right at the wishing fountain.
A special ending: I was head over heels in love with this girl, I knew her for about five years and she was my best friend. So I waited till she went to the bathroom to run to the old toy store in the mall. She was obsessed with pigs.
and I mean OBSESSED.
so I found a pig stuffed animal and I bought it, I was one dollar off but after I told the cashier what I was doing. She let me have it for free. She even put a cute pink ribbon around it.
so I ran back to the bathroom and saw Maddy looking for me, I showed it to her and she hugged me. She named it after me.
Shoplifted when we were in 7th grade. We didn't get caught, but we both felt so guilty we never did anything so stupid and unethical again.

Dumbest thing? One thing comes to mind: My friend and I (14 or so) were celebrating a girls day "out and about" the neighborhood, rebelling against our "strict parents" telling them we were at each others homes watching tv.
When, out of nowhere, some older teens (complete strangers) were racing Fourtracks (4 wheeler racing "cars" /motorbikes). They saw us laughing and dared us to take a spin with them. I thought my friend would walk away so I ignored them. But one of the guys followed me and said "Hey, she's in. Are you?" When I looked behind me, my friend had raced away! I was in shock, but not wanting to be seen as scary cat I conceded. We raced all around the neighborhood a la Fast & The Furious making ALOT of noise plus all the screaming! Still shacking but feeling confident that our rebellion had been established, we walked to her house. We smiled at eachother, thinking about our secret adventure, when her older brother entered her room asking about something, but added with a smirk:
"Oh, and...next time you go sneaking off to go racing...make sure you do it right. I saw you and so did everyone else!!" 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
And then her Mom called her downstairs.
I ran home before they called MY MOM. 😅
Trust she behave well in front of my parents and don't tell my marks
