Can you relate to this? You are looking for something in the forums, you punch in the words in the Forum Search Bar, and get a list of results, all irrelevant. What if there was an alternative to searching for things on the forum? Behold: Google!

How do we harness the power of Google to help us navigate the forum? Well first, learn how to Power Search in just 2 Steps!

Step 1: Tell Google to search only within the 7Cups forums by first typing 'site:7cups.com/forum'. This means all your results will come from 7Cup's forum!

Step 2: Enter what you are looking for after that. For example, if you want to look for Listener Twins, you should just type in 'site:7cups.com/forum Listener Twins'

Lets compare the results of someone looking for where to find Listener Twins:

Conclusion
In this case, the Forum Search produces no relevant results, while the Google Search produces several results, the third of which leads you to a post in the relevant forum section, which you can follow to get to where you want to be. So it is not perfect, but it does get you to where you want to go. That said, I must include a Disclaimer:
After various rounds of testing, there are times where the Forum Search does perform better, so feel free to use both!
Also as JoyCS rightly pointed out below, the Listener Sections of the forum are not indexed yet, so you results from that area won't show.

How do I search for ALL posts by a Listener, but not where they are tagged in?
Simple! The idea is to search for the forums, then omit their tags by using the minus/hyphen sign, adding the minus/hyphen sign before any word tells Google to omit that word.
E.g. For all posts by Laura, type in "site:7cups.com/forum Laura -@Laura"

Does this work for other things like the Feed?
Sure it does! Just use 'site:7cups.com/Feed (what you are looking for)' instead.

What other ways of searching would be beneficial?
Feel free to experiment with quotation marks "" , you can specify a phrase to be matched by putting quotation marks around them like this ' site:7cups.com "Self Esteem Challenge" ', although the results might not always be accurate, so experiment!

TL:DR just tell me what to type into Google ?
'site:7cups.com/forum (what you are looking for)'

Do I need to type in the '/forum' part?
Not really! You can even try searching for things like this: ' site:7cups.com "Self Esteem Challenge" '

Benefits of using Google:
I have found it to be both faster and more accurate in returning results.

Does this work with other search engines like Bing or Yahoo?
Yes, although I am a fan of Google and haven't tested it elsewhere yet.
