DID help wanted

My wife is displaying severe DID symptoms. However she is convinced that it's Angels and Demons. Not personality disorder. I don't know how to get across to her. That maybe she needs therapy. For she feels its in God's hands and who is the best therapist? I can't argue with that point. However she does need help and I don't know what or how to get her to be more open minded. If anyway someone could help I really would appreciate it.

🥺

That's a difficult situation for you to be in.

As a person of faith, also, yes, I see the logic behind God being the best therapist, but God provided us with doctors and medical professionals, to aid us, I truly believe faith and medicine help each other.

I understand how hard it is to get your wife to change her mindset and accept help.

You might have to be patient and just keep the lines of communication open.

And if it worsens, maybe you could reach out and get some support and advice for yourself 💙

@selfdisciplinedComputer4416  I agree with what @Amanda84 said about God providing professionals to aid us. God works through people, including professionals. Maybe you could mention this to her or look for a Christian therapist but I would make sure they are trauma informed because this is a big thing and should be handled gently. Offer to go with her if she's afraid to go and definitely think about a therapist for yourself

Thank you, I'm in West Florida Bradenton area to exact. I know not many Psychiatrist or therapist specialize in DID. If any one knows of any here and or surrounding area that do. Please let me know thanks again.

@selfdisciplinedComputer4416 I'm not familiar with the area. I did find this online Dissociative Disorders Therapists in Bradenton, FL - TherapyTribe https://share.google/o2WCE6MoOeRStuqgZ and thought maybe it could help. I do hope you can find someone who can help.

Im going to make this lengthy. There are faith based mental health programs and services. For example grace alliance, not sure if that is near you. Even looking for a christian therapist. At times, I have called in to numbers like klove and can; they offer prayer and encouragement. As someone, still dealing with mental illness; it definitely does help. Based, on my experiences please don’t seek a regular therapist but one whom is also a christian. These therapists can and will pray, with your wife. Even, going to adoration, in a Catholic Church (totally silent church); helps when I’m feeling overwhelmed. Maybe, talking to the priest too during confession. Sorry to add so much, I’m not sure of your stance of Christianity and Catholicism but these things have helped me. Wishing and praying for the best 🙏🏼🤍✝️

I don’t want to, ramble on again. But maybe, connecting her to pastor, like on klove. If she, speaks to someone faith based; then maybe she will come more to terms with getting help.
