I am new to this site I am 66 years old. Have experienced severe health problems that have involved 8 abdominal surgeries and months and months on the hospital over the past 5 years. Our kids moved back in to help care for me. We had to put my husband in a nursing home 2 years ago, he died March 14 of this year. The kids were already working on plans to move out when their dad died so they are continuing on with those plans and I agree they should however, I am feeling so alone. I never want to leave the house I have to force myself, I don't want to talk to people or see people having s good day. I have to get out of the house. I think its important to my physical and mental health. Part of the issue with getting out of the house is that all the surgeries have left me with short bowel syndrome which means I have constant diarrhea 10 times a day, I also suffer extreme fatigue and an on 10 hours a day of intravenous feeding. Its called TPN. I am afraid I might not be able to afford to stay in my home of 35 years and my income has been cut in half since my husband died.
