I'd like to be an expert in managing my emotions because it's the key for me to unlocking anything else I want to learn.

Human emotion I guess, because it could help me understand other people and I could better help them and myself.

I'm gonna be realistic here. I would be a linguist. I'm majoring in linguistics right now and I want to be an expert in it. It's like one of my childhood dreams. I remember creating a blog when I was a kid and naming it "A Linguist's Blog." That was when I was too innocent of the reality of life. Haha.

Right now, though, 'm struggling with my thesis. I should have finished it last semester, but a lot of thing happened and I'm starting to lose my confidence and faith in my abilities. I still love to study about languages, but I have no motivation in writing my thesis, let alone finishing it. And now everyone is urging me to graduate quickly (not soon, quickly).

Oops. I guess I shouldn't go into details here. This is not the right forum to talk about it. Haha.

@immaddie probably not the right forum to talk about it, but good luck with your thesis! Don't lose faith in your abilities because you took longer than expected; it's okay to do it at your own pace, one step at a time. It's normal to feel unmotivated in continuing and finishing your thesis, but you can do it! (on another hand, there's always the choice to stop if you're truly sick of it. It's your life after all ahaha)

@Leiferne Hey, thank you! I think what I need the most right now is emotional support like this. Everyone who keeps urging me to finish my thesis never asks me how I feel, and since most of my peers are dealing with their own thesis, I can't bother them with my complaints. (Well, I don't have that many people I can call my friends to begin with.) Then there is my father who said, "You chose the major, you finish what you've started." It feels like he is blaming me for following my childhood dream. Now I feel lonely in this journey. Haha.
