Hey,

well I’m new here and ugh I don’t even know how to start. About me? I’d say I’m a teen with a strict life and strict parents. I guess that’s still normal haha. In my free time (not really, cause I have to study and am just too unmotivated for like everything I guess?) I like reading and listening to music. That brings my to my question: Can you recommend me some Songs ore books to just relax and dive completely into the song/book? I’d appreciate that 🙃

thank you for your help, really thank you 🙏

@Ijustwanttobenormal12 I recently finished reading Khaled Hosseini's book " A thousand splendid suns" and it is mindblowing, like literally the best, powerful and most emotive book that I have ever read. It is unputdownable, soul stirring and intense. I loved it and I would definitely recommend you to go through that.

@Ijustwanttobenormal12 also, are you from India? Becoz this "strict parents and strict life" rings a bell in our country.

@Ijustwanttobenormal12 welcome to 7 Cups. I'm a verified listener here and you can come to me anytime you need to talk about something or have any questions. I noticed your profile name. Normal is overrated. Be unique. Books I'd say The Hours by Michael Cunningham and Asylum by Patrick McGrath. My music taste is too eclectic to narrow down. Be sure to take the time to explore the site. That's the best way to learn it. Take full advantage of our broad forums. They are a great place for support and expressing interests. You can come to me anytime. Ànd of course click the listener button and a listener will pluck you from the line we can see. This place is active 24/7 365

I recomend The Ghost Files, a series of books by Apryl Baker (I think I spelled her name right??) and they are for an older audience, not for kids, and I personally love them.

I also would recommend The Funjungle series by Stuart Gibbs, which is a really funny novel series, for kids and adults alike.

I hope you enjoy these!
