What has 2016 taught me... Well it taught me that i need to be more careful in who i trust bc even salt looks like sugar if u dont pay attention.
@purplepanther I learned that one myself in 2016. Had to learn it the hard way but it's made me wiser.
2k16 has taught me how to be me
Not everything has to be perfect for it to be good. Things are in flux. Some will last, some won't. And you can try, but that's about it. Following what you love is not so difficult as you make it out to be.
That going through hard sh*t lets you get to know yourself, and that you don't have to rush to find out who you are :)
One thing 2016 taught me is to be strong.
To never doubt me.
To be willing to make mistakes and learn from them shamelessly.
To trust, and to get that trust abused, but to still be trusting and try again.
To rise above life instead of letting it pull you down into the pits.
To care for self before caring for others. It is the best way to care for others in the truest sense.
To stand up for my needs without a care for politeness because a need is a need.
To be brave enough to ask for what I want, regardless of what the outcome may be.
To fall in love, and to keep falling in love, and to never stop falling in love.
To find support when I need it.
Wow so many things, so many lessons I had to learn the hard way. I guess mainly I've learned think it all through before you act, if you know it's wrong then don't do it & then try to justify it & Ive also learned not to trust everybody you meet because not everybody will have your best interests at heart.
Life is a rollercoaster, but if you stay on the ride for all the loops and turns and ups and downs it can be every enjoyable.
2016 taught me the importance of letting go. Everything ends, and thats okay because with endings come new beginnings, but sometimes in order to move forward we have to let go. Because somtimes the best thing we can do to heal is let go.
