Hi. I am new to 7 cups and have just suffered my second miscarriage in a pregnancy that was desperately wanted. Is anyone in the same boat? I am struggling so would be nice to hear from anyone in a similar situation.

First, I am sorry that you have gone through that. Yes, I have gone through this too. I was 18yrs old at the time and 4mths pregnant when I miscarried. I ended up going through emergency surgery. My parents didnt even know I was pregnant and showed up at the hospital. My boyfriend and my friends knew. I was devastated. I was ashamed when I saw my parents and too heartbroken to even speak to anyone. It took a toll on me physically and mentally for a long time. I thought it was going to end my relationship and I would have no one. I completely shut down and didnt want to talk about it at all. After surgery I was told that I would not get pregnant after my situation as if it didnt hurt enough....but I now have 3 children. I dont know why it happened and I never thought that I would heal. I know how painful it is emotionally to have this happen to you. Do NOTgive up. You are doing the right thing by trying to talk about it. Dont let it shut you down and dont isolate yourself(looking back that's probably the best advice I can give). I know it's not easy but you will get through this. Keep faith

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply Godsoldier. I waa 15 weeks with my first, 12 weeks with this one. I delivered naturally first time and saw the baby to say goodbye, this time around a baby didn't develop and I miscarried naturally this weekend. It is a very isolating experience- an emotional rollercoaster. Did you lean on your friends and family and share your pain or did you keep it a secret? Congratulations on your 3 healthy children xxx

No I didn't lean on anyone at that time. My family was upset that I didnt tell them I was pregnant nor did the approve of my relationship. I was to devastated and honestly too depressed to talk to friends about it. I didnt even want to talk to my boyfriend. Eventually I started to talk to everyone again but I did not speak of it. It wasnt until a month ago when I brought it up for the first time. My daughter over heard a family member say something and she asked me about it. I told her the truth and it still is painful to think about. But until that moment I talked about I never realized how much that weighed on my heart. I blocked it out completely until then. But my daughter listened and was sympathetic...and I felt better to get it out. I never thought it would come up again but even more that it was a topic I had to talk about with my daughter. But God gave me an opportunity to be able to talk about and you are the second person I have talked to about it since that day. I saw your post and instantly understood the pain. Talk about it...you will be amazed at who will be standing there to comfort you. Dont hold it in. You will get through this. Praying that God sends you peace and healing💓
