Hello
hi everyone,
i stumbled upon this website while I was helplessly trying to google my way to fix how i am feeling.
I havent been the happiest person in a long time, the closest person in my life (my beautiful partner) has known this and brought it up with me on many occasion but I tended to bury my head in the sand and not accept what she was saying to be reality.
In the last few weeks I think Ive had some what of a breakdown and really hit some form of rock bottom. I now understand that I need some help to get past this, its at the point where it is controlling my life, effecting my work and ruining my relationship with my partner.
My head is always a chaotic mess, I get so anxious and stressed out over things that are really just normal everyday requirements. Ive also this past week been extremely sad and have moments of uncontrollable crying.
I always thought I just had anxiety and it would be okay, that I could just ignore it and it would get better. But now that its coupled with this extreme sadness Im feeling very lost.
I am booking an appointment with a psychologist today, something that I should have done a long time ago but never did. Better late than never right?
Im a 23 year old with my life ahead of me and it wont be well spent living it how I currently am, considering how bad Ive gotten, I dont want to get any worse.
i often feel so guilty because of the stress I put on my partner, she doesnt understand how much pain I am in and that is causing her so much pain as well.
thanks for listening.

Hey there welcome to 7cups :)
Well admiting you need help is the first and most important step! So you should be proud. My advice is to find a therapist honestly. Some countries provide them for free, so maybe try to talk to your doctor and see how that works.
About your partner as long as you know is not her fault, I think you're fine. Toxic behaviour isn't ok but you know isn't her fault. And she knows what you go through, she said it herself. Let her support you, maybe it can bring you guys together even more.
Best of luck!
p.s- your username is really adorable

thank you for the kind words! I have a therapist in mind that I am going to call when they open this morning, it is subsidised by the government so it wont hurt the bank account as much, but in all honesty Id give my life savings to begin feeling better about myself.
I thought the username was appropriate! Hah

Trust me having a supportive partner and having a therapist will help you alot. Be kind to yourself, don't put pressure on it and believe that you'll get better with the help :)
