Hi I'm Cindi!
I'm new to this community! I'm usually pretty positive, but I keep having these really soul crushing depression moments that idk how to navigate through. I'm 28 years old, I'm so chronically ill with like 10+ illnesses that make me feel so far behind in life. I can barely get through school and I just had to quit my first job after only 5 months. I can't even get a driver's license. I feel like the world passes on and leaves me behind. I have really deep and untreated cptsd too from almost 20 years of physical and psychological abuse. I can't afford any therapy and the therapists from my insurance won't even help me. So I'm clinging on to whatever free support I can get. I'm also really bad at approaching people because history has shown me that a lot of people and doctors think that all these problems are basically my fault and I should feel bad.
I'm so sorry for unloading so much. I'm desperate for help tbh. I'm looking forward to being a part of this community. Thank you for reading. ♡
It's nice to meet you, Cindi! You honestly seem like such a brave and courageous person - way more so than I will ever be. I know it feels like you may be bogged down, but I think instead of that it's important to view your trials as a growth opportunity, and that they can make you stronger rather than bogged down. I hope you find the support you deserve here, and remember that you can do it!
@Emily619 Thank you so much ♡♡♡
@CindiY
You're welcome, anytime!
@Emily619 Is it really ok to just approach listeners on chats? Of course rules apply, but I'm just afraid of burdening people with problems or seeming overwhelming. :c
@CindiY
It's completely fine; you're not a burden at all. If their status is online (they have either a green or blue icon/ring around their profile picture), then that means that they're free to accept chats. If their status is busy or offline (they have either an orange or red icon/ring around their profile picture), then you may want to politely ask them if they're accepting chats for your first message. I hope you find the support you deserve!
