I noticed it posted to Reddit and thought I would have a vent. It really helped me and made me want to help other people by listening. I've also noticed it on Habit RPG since and I hope others find it too
I wanted to have a decent casual conversation with a complete stranger because i was alone for a while but didn't wanted those chats that are leading to sexual topics and i was googling it and saw 7 Cups of Tea. The name sounded amazing to me because I wanted really to have a feeling of chatting with someone while drinking cup of tea and I gave it a try. So, I had my chat which was great and cheerful and decided to be a listener myself. After my test of becoming one and first chats I realized that it's more serious then a casual conversation and it motivated me even more, so now I'm taking trainings, participating a group support, consulting myself with a mentor because I want to be a good listener and to help people. I am really lucky I found this site and this is the end of my third day. Good night! (time difference)
I wasn't coping well at the time, and googled "talk to counselor now" and 7cups was the top choice! I'm really grateful that it was too. Have had some great listeners.

I found this on Tumblr whenI typed "depression" on the search bar. I've been depressed for a while now, and I needed to find away to get helped, anonymously.

My friend became a listener on here and Ifigured, since I am great at listening, why not give it a shot?
With many struggles in my life and relationship with the man I love, he told me I have to get counselling for him to even consider being with me. I have massive trust issues from many past experiences with counselors, psychologists, group therapy sessions, all in person, plus our income is rather limited at the moment, so I searched online for free online chat sessions, and this was one of the first results, and the first that appealed to me.
Found this on tumblr. Typed "sad" to the search bar and it was suggested. Now I fee so much better. I love it!
