Hello! My name is Rasa and I am 18 years old LGBTQ+ girl. The girl who usually steps back and observes others from the distant. I always felt like I don't get along with others like we like different things and it was hard to find a topic that would be good for all of us. That's why I became passive and usually, I was just listening what others said. I thought that it's something wrong with me, I hated myself because I couldn't tell my opinion as I was too afraid they are gonna laugh or don't understand me (social anxiety, I knowww).

But last year... Last year I found a person who understood me and who was thinking just like me. I was so excited to spend time with this girl, I even developed crush to her (gosssh, she was my first REAL crush). She showed me that it's nothing wrong with me, it's just that we are all unique and it's alright. And now, I have wonderful friends (she is also in the group of that), I have people I care and who care about me. Also, I joined national hotline team and since then.... Oh wow, since then I have sooo big requirements to people surprise As this hotline team, they showed to me what it really is to care for others and they showed me that not everyone in this world is only interested in drinking, flirting and having as much boys/girls as possible. They showed me that you can find the place where you belong. In some ways, in many ways, 7Cups is my place. The place where I belong. When I joined it, I wasn't sure what it is, I wasn't dedicated and I quit it very soon. But last summer, I started internship here and it changed everything. When you are the intern, you should join the community. And when you join it... You can't stay away anymore. As 7Cups is addicting, oh gosh it's really addicting. And now, when I belong to LGBTQ+/MOGII Support team, I can say for sure that it's my home. I love how this community cares about each other deeply. I care about everybody there and I want to follow with their lives, I want to make it better as possible. And when saying that I want to make other people lives better, I talk not only about LGBTQ+/MOGII, I Talk about everyone. I do it in my life right now, here, at 7Cups, at emotional support hotline, at LGBT right activism group, at my family and everywhere else. I help others, I listen to them as I wish I could get it when I needed it the most. And... Recently, I found my old "100 things to do" list and one of the things was "Save someone life". I think that 7Cups, that hotline lets me do it and it's very awesome, to know that you can help others heart If I wouldn't here at 7Cups, I wouldn't be at hotline as well, so... 7cups totally changed my life, I really want to say thanks for @Glen and everybody here!

@RaCat

'save someone's life'? even from that phrase i can tell that you're incredible, never mind the whole post that you must've been so much effort it. your story is extremely inspirational, and i'm so so thankful that you chose to share it! i'm glad you managed to overcome your anxiety, and it sounds like you're overall living a great life now -- and i'm really glad, because you sound like someone who really deserves it!! i hope you have a great day, and once again thank you for sharing this :)
