Losing It
I suffer from Social Anxiety and depression. I have had it for as long as I can remember, although I didn't really know what it was until my 30s. I do not know how to deal with people and I'm getting worse everyday. Almost every conversatin I have with a coworker turns into a torment of swirling thoughts in my head afterward that I can not clear. Medication keeps me from going off on people, but just barely. Strangely, when I am home and around my wife or kids, I'm totally at ease. It's as if she's Kryptonite against my anxiety.
@0fMnUPHv67he i actually completely understand. I try to be around people but it all ends up spiraling down. I constantly find my self in awkward situations, and i only feel comfortable around one person.
@0fMnUPHv67he I am new here but I totally get it. I have battled depression/anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. Things from my past have just totally messed my mind up. It's crazy. I sometimes feel as if I am in a movie when out and about. However, I am the same when I get home to my wife and kids. It's a different world. I am almost to the point where I don't want to leave my home.
@0fMnUPHv67he Sorry for the lack of comments. Not everyone checks the threads on here. Welcome to the 7cups community. Have you connected with a live counselor yet on here? If not, I highly recommend chatting with someone ASAP. Having anxiety is hard. I've delt with many individuals with similar things going on. I'd love to chat with you sometime.
