Member is revealing some personal info and feel like I should reciprocate. What should I do?

Title, but also they're not neccassarily revealing super revealing information and I understand the rules are you shoudn't reveal personal information but I feel that that revealing bit of my personal information (not real name, adresss, etc.) to the person I can better emphsize with the person and work together through an experience that both of us share? What should I do?

you should never revel personal information. We are suppose to just listen and support

@AllBrian I think self disclosure is fine if you're keeping it about them, making sure it's relevant and helpful to mention, and frame it in a positive way so that the member doesn't feel like they have to take on the listener role for you. You're a human and you have personal experiences that can help build a relationship, which can be an important part of a helping role. If you use your best judgment and always put the member first, should be all good, in my opinion :)
