My own worst enemy
Hello!!
I have a tendency to hide things no matter how small to avoid confrontation. I have almost lost my fiance over this because I hid a work conversation with a coworker. Im not afraid of my fiance. I just need the confidence in myself to know that her and I can work through anything as long as we're communicating openly and honestly. Previous relationships wouldn't allow openness or compromise. I need my own personal confidence.
Thank you for listening.
Hi I also have a tendency to hide things to, for me it was because I was afraid of my partner and when it wasn’t them it was something else I never wanted to disappoint or let anyone down or to be judged either, it takes time to feel you can open up to people especially if our trust has been broken before especially people we feel we should be able to trust then perhaps breaks that trust. Trust is a very unique thing it’s something people often take for granted and it’s something that is very hard to get back once it has been broken. You mentioned that you need more confidence, but I think you might have low self esteem which is understandable if you have problems feeling safe to express emotions with previous relationships. I can empathise because I too have had an experience that there wasn’t room for openness or even compromise either it was their way or nothing.
I have taken up talking therapy because I feel that I need it to express past trauma in a safe and secure way, this is helping me because I am slowly built my self esteem and confidence to recognise that I have strength when I needed it most.
I hope that this has been a little helpful even if it makes you not so alone. Take care thanks for sharing and reading the reply. 😀
