Hi, hru all? Hopefully having a wonderful day. I'm new here, and I suffer from chronic depression. Caused by childhood trauma and abuses, same thing with teen hood. Lived with chronic depression since the age of 5 and had suicide thoughts at the age of 7.What kept me going because of my grandmother and faith. But I'm literally just a walking lifeless body, who feels nth but exhaustion, lost appetite of life, used to draw and listening to songs majority rock with the lyrics that suits my life. Currently living on anti depression, anti anxiety and sleeping pills. Other than that I'm really exhausted from surviving. Wonder if I'm alone, or there is hope that some one out there survived and felt better? And don't mean to make any one feel sad or uncomfortable but would like to thank you for your time and kindness for reading. 💜

Hey! Yes, it is possible to overcome it with the right thought processes (focusing on the present and the positives), social support, exercising and possibly seeing a therapist. They say people with depression focus on the past and people with anxiety focus on the future and I couldn't agree more. When I focused too much on my past, I spiralled into depression. With medication, I managed to pull myself out of it and focus more on the present and accept my past. I wanted to make my present and my future better and I couldn't do that when I focused on my past, things I could not change. There are many people who get better and improve, the journey is shorter and more straightforward for some and longer and more complicated for others. Just know that there's a chance you won't feel this way forever.
