New to the 7 Cups Community in December 2017? Say Hello here! And get to know others who joined in December too!
Hey, I'm new here. I have some issues with anxiety, possibly adhd? that I'm struggling with, but my biggest issue right now is that I'm terrible at opening up to people and trusting them. I'm trying to figure out how to open up to other people without depending on them all the time. I'm hoping I can find a happy medium and learn how to deal with my emotions 😛
Hi everybody, I'm new. I thought this might be a good step towards becoming social. I'm an introvert with social anxiety. I fear eye-contact and interactions unscripted by context. I also have moderately severe depression. I'm currently seeing a counselor, but I feel like I need to seek more support. I live at home with my mother who's been in and out of the hospital for the past two years. I'm pretty isolated and I only have one friend. Sorry to be a downer. You didn't see anything. This post is only an illusion. *fades into wallpaper*
@passionateMango2156 You are not a downer. You are, however, witty. ;-) Welcome to 7 Cups from one fellow introvert to another. (P.S. You can't fade into the wallpaper because all the other introverts are already there and blocking you. lol).
@passionateMango2156
Being akward and introverted isn't a crime. I'd rather be the real me then struggle to be someone I'm not. The in crowd isn't all it's cracked up to be anyway.
Hello Everyone,
I'm new here, I guess I am struggling with Anxiety and Depression. Hoping to meet other people here to talk to regularly and ease this pain.

Hello, @BigChrisUK, and welcome to 7 Cups!
Hello from me as well. While I used 7Cups before, I registered last night. All I need is a place to let off steam and reflect every once in a while. My issues -probably- come from my brain being messed up (so my doctors assume, as there's barely any other factors to be found), causing severe depression, rapid changing phases and a very complex rollercoaster affecting both my emotional and my physical state. I've learned to live with it. It's still helpful to talk to someone every now and then, and there's not always a friend or my S/O available.
I'm grateful for the two talks I've had so far. They helped me calm down.
Hi everyone, i'm new here and still don't know how this works (still figuring it out)
@guitarandacetilcoa Hi, and welcome to 7 Cups! :-)
@friendlyChestnut4964 thanks!! :)
Hello All, I'm new to this site. I think I am struggling with Anxiety and Depression.
Hoping to meet others to talk to regularly and ease this pain.
@yellowCucumber6930 Hi, and welcome to 7 Cups. I have found this site has helped me--reaching out and just saying what's truly inside has helped me a lot. I hope you find this site helpful, too.
Hello, I'm new to 7cups, I honestly don't know what to expect from this site. I am struggling with my moods and I'm confused about almost everything in life.
Hello, @athena1130, and welcome to 7 Cups.
Hi, Im new to 7 cups. Someone recommended it to me but Im not sure what to expect. Ive been putting off working on my mental health for a while now and recently got the desire to do something about it. Heres to hoping it helps.
@banananan That's awesome! I'm really glad that you're trying this out - the first step is knowing that you need to reach out, and you're doing great so far.
Hi everyone, I'm new to 7cups. I just joined a few days back on Sunday but due to work, I wasn't able to post anything here. Now I have a little bit of time, I'll say something now. Honestly, I'm not sure where to start. All I know is that on most days, I feel lost and confused. I've been looking for a place where I can share my thoughts and feelings, a place where I can feel safe. Then I found 7cups. I'm a happily married woman (to a man) but I have feelings for girls too. I used to have many friends when I was younger, mostly girls, but they've all left me high and dry when they sensed I got too close to them for comfort. They said they couldn't be friends with me because I get too attached. One minute, we were laughing at a joke. Next minute, they were gone. Just like that. Without a word. I've been like this since I was 13 (I'm 31 now) but I've kept it hidden for many years, knowing that if people knew about me, they'd run for the hills. Again. No one knows about this, not even my parents, except my husband. He's aware and he's been encouraging me to explore this other side of me. So, here I am.
