Non smokers
Does it bother you when you are outside and someone sits next to you and lights up a cigarette so that the smoke is coming to your direction?
@helloCranberry5684 it can honestly be a little irritating depending on how close they are as well as what brand they have. Some smell horrible and make me cough severely. Others comfort me. If they're directly next to me I'd consider it rude as they'd be severely close to my personal bubble. If they take just one or two steps away from me I wouldn't mind (:
Well I don't know why but the smoke always follows the non smoker!!! Weird. Well, i am a non smoker myself so i understand what you are saying.. yes it's annoying but i respect the right that the smokers have , as long they smoke in areas that it is allowed. If it really bothers you try to find places that are for non smokers, that's what i do. Take care 😊
Yes, it bothers me because I have asthma. I don't say anything outside though. It's not worth the trouble.
@helloCranberry5684 it bothers me immensely! I was just at a beach hotel that was non-smoking, including balconies. While sitting in my hotel room with the sliding glass door open, listening to the waves crash and the seagulls, I started smelling smoke. I walked out on the balcony and looked down to see a hand and a cigarette. I was so angry. My 8-year-old son is a cancer survivor and I have severe allergies. Smokers don't think that rules apply to them, and they do whatever they want.
Another instance that it really infuriates me is when someone *literally* stands in front of a no smoking within x amount of feet from entrance sign. We shouldn't have to walk through a cloud of smoke just to enter/exit a building.
Yes, it's a trigger for multiple health conditions. If I'm outside where it's allowed, I move or depending on the situation I may talk to the smoker. If it's not allowed, I say something. I find people often smoke in areas where it is prohibited.
