Problems with sexual harassment in group chat?
I'd like to know why I was issued a warning by one of your mods in a group chat after a member asked me to sit on his lap? Not only was no help given at all , I was given a warning? One of the members discussed how difficult the work is for mods but no one cared about how that member's actions made me feel? I stood up for myself? Is this website a sick place where harassment is tolerated and good people shut down so mods can continue to work despite the mod doing nothing to help me? Should I leave the board? Please advise. I recognise this person might not have been around but the fact they didn't care at all and issued a warning against me and only cared about their own position, makes me wonder about the integrity of this website?
I'm sure this will be ignored.

@vexy thank you. i didn't even think to screenshot. i assume that they will support their mod. i am not going back into depression chat for a LONG time. i'm not surprised, really.
@silverlamp I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm bumping this up because it deserves to be seen and addressed and not ignored.
@ReadBooksDrinkTea thank you very much, that means a lot after the day i had. i have now emailed 7cups about this as well. these chats are spottily moderated in general and it's obvious they really don't care so far as i can tell after today.

I have copied the information below from the Review Form, I hope it may help you. I know how frustrating it can be when this happens. 7Cups has a team of paid CommunityModerators that are active 24/7 and you can call one into the room using the Emergency Mod Form that is in the Rules & Guidelines.
"If you have received a warning, remain calm. It will automatically clear in 6 hours as long as you do not accrue further warnings during this time.
If you have been muted for a first or second time, this will be released within 24 hours.

@silverlamp I had the same problem. I asked many times why this thing happens. Do you know what they did? They deactived my account. Maybe they will do it again.
@WhiteAlbatros i totally commiserate and understand, it's actually not the first time ive seen this happen (but first time blatantly towards me), and if they deactivated your account for speaking up that is unacceptable. there is a lot of weird sexual innuendo in these chatrooms that goes unchecked and some ppl who go in there clearly dont belong there.
