🌷 Hello, beautiful souls! 👋

Our weekly Women's Circle is happening Saturday, September 19th, 2026 at 10 am EDT in the Support Session Room for adults on 7 Cups.

Topic: Unlearning Objectification

From a young age, many of us are taught to view ourselves through the eyes of others. We learn to monitor our bodies, our expressions, and our movements to ensure we are "acceptable" or "attractive." This constant self-monitoring is exhausting, and it can make us feel like our value is tied to how we look rather than who we are.

This week, we gather to explore the process of unlearning objectification. We will talk about the difference between being seen as a person and being looked at as an image, the mental toll of constant self-monitoring, and the radical act of reclaiming our bodies for our own joy, strength, and comfort.

Whether you are deep in the work of unlearning these patterns or just starting to notice the weight of objectification, your experience is valid.

Hii @shadowfaerie. I love how ur planning to explore the topic. I was busy this week and was unable to post suggestions for the topic. However, I've curated a list now, so feel free to use my ideas for a later discussion on the topic:

Women feel like they hv to constantly perform in their own bodies. They hv been trained to see themselves thru a lens of desire and hyper-vigilance rather than just existing (even when they're alone). For some women, even clothing, (whether revealing or modest is shaped by the men in their life), is not a personal choice. Habitual body monitoring and equating appearance with power are also symptoms of this. But this can get emotionally exhausting and result in a negative mindset..

*I suggest a guided exploration script, to explore the somatic sensations that arise when they view themselves that way, and to slowly feel the male gaze drop as they learn to feel safe and loved in their own bodies.

* They can also take a tiny step towards explore what types of clothing and textures feel right to their body.

Watching Tv shows (u can drop a list) where women get to explore themselves and view themselves as whole ppl

Every day tell your body, one thing you loved it did that day for eg: "I love that my brain solved that puzzle so quickly" or "I love that my legs led me all the way to the top of that hill!""

*Expose urself to beauty diversity and different types of creators. Follow at least 3 creators with meaningful content who look like u and are confident in how they feel.

* Take a breath whenever u feel an objectifying thought come up.

Btww thank u so much for the mention!
