i put  on makeup to look pretty, still don't feel like it

I wear loose clothes, tight clothes, and normal-sized sized. I never fully feel like I'm beautiful or not for sale

never the right amount of curves

never the right size body either too fat or too ugly

I feel disgusting, ashamed, ugly, and fat

Can I ever be that one woman who is classified as ''beautiful or pretty ''

I hate the way I look, not to mention the scars I have to try to hide every day

@tryinglittleaudrey you are not alone in this. So many people, especially women, live their life plagued by hate for their own body. Looking in the mirror and feeling disgusted, thinking that everyone sees us in the same terrible way we see ourselves, is like our body is a prison, something we've been forced into rather than something that belongs to us.
But your body is not you. You body is the tool you use to move, speak and act in the world, it's the vessel that allows you to exist, experience, and simply be the person you are. Anything that defines you as a person, anything that shows who you really are, anything that is worth loving you for, lies within your mind. It's in your thoughts, your words, your actions, and your body is simply something that enables all of this.
Sure, it's hard as a woman to push away the feeling that our body matters more than other parts of us. That's not something easy for us to believe and embrace, as women are burdened with body standards that make us constantly hyper-aware of how those standards do or do not align with the way we look. But you are so much more than your body. The people around you might not always be able to look past this, but if they aren't, it should be their problem, not yours.
It won't be easy to change the way you see yourself - and you likely overestimate the extent of your body's so-called "flaws", as we often do - but it's possible to work on it and start embracing yourself a little more day by day. I really wish you the best on this journey.

@tryinglittleaudrey You are beautiful as you are.

Please know that these so-called beauty standards are unrealistic and intentionally impossible to reach. They exist to make women feel inadequate, to keep us suffering and spending money trying to “fix” things that were never wrong with us in the first place.

I don't know who you're comparing yourself to, but every woman you see in the media is someone already considered conventionally attractive, and even then, she's gone through countless surgery, cosmetic procedures, professional makeup, styling, hair work, and still gets photoshopped. Even they don’t look like that in real life.

How people classify you doesn’t matter. And honestly, most people are so busy worrying about how they look, they’re not even thinking about your appearance. We’re all stuck in this mirror game, convinced we’re being judged, when in truth, everyone is too busy judging themselves.

Your size, your scars, your clothes, none of that defines your worth or your beauty. You are enough. You are good. You are not for sale. You are already a beautiful woman, because beauty isn’t something you earn, it’s something you already have, whether the world sees it or not.

Sending you so much love. 💛

@tryinglittleaudrey Thank you for sharing your vulnerability with us.

Youre message would greatly help others too who arent comfortable in their body image.

You may not fit someonelses standard and thats ok - thats the logical side.

To connect with you on the emotional side - it could be experiences of bullying that have shaped how you see yourself, focus on social media and ideal body types. Its understandable to want to be someones favourite.

I think it starts with being your own favourite first and not putting others on a pedestal.

Just because someone else is beautiful doesnt mean you are not.

Sometimes people think if you have a calm nature you dont need a compliment and you know the value you hold already.

I'm glad you shared your insecurity with us as it would be really helpful in understanding and helping you with what is possible. I truly get what you mean and I'm really here for you to help you feel better about yourself but you'd have to trust yourself, me and the process of it. Wanna chat? Just a message away!

@tryinglittleaudreyI'm really sorry you’re feeling this way. It’s so hard when your self-image doesn’t match how you want to feel inside. Remember, beauty is not just about fitting a certain shape or size—it’s about the unique person you are, scars and all. Those scars tell your story and your strength. Feeling beautiful starts with kindness toward yourself, even in small moments. You deserve to see yourself with the same compassion you’d give a friend. It’s okay to have tough days, but please know you are more than your appearance. You are valuable and worthy just as you are.
