Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my concerns about the prevalent issue of sexism, both here at 7 Cups and in society at large. As a radical feminist listener, I want to extend my support and let you know that I am here to help in any way possible.

If any of you require assistance or simply need someone to talk to regarding matters related to sexism, please feel free to reach out to me. I am committed to providing a safe space for you to share your experiences, concerns, and frustrations.

Furthermore, I am genuinely interested and willing to listen if any of you have ideas or projects related to addressing sexism that you would like to see implemented here. I am more than willing to contribute my time and effort to make them a reality.

Additionally, I am open to writing forum posts on a wide range of subjects. If there are any specific topics or issues you would like to see addressed, please don't hesitate to let me know. I am here to amplify your voices and ensure that your concerns are heard.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to engaging with all of you. Take care!

@Mya000

Hi Mya! 😊❤️ Thank you so much for creating this forum post, letting it be known that this is where your interests lie, that this is where your focus is and that your door is open to any that want or need support in this area. For us, as women, this is behavior that any of us could potentially suffer from at one or more times in our lives.

My friend, I'd also like to commend you for putting out this forum post as well as your generous offer to support others in the right way! *bows in front of greatness*😊. I am grateful for and truly admire your approach to this topic. This my friends, is how it is done!

I appreciate that there is no anger, no negativity or polarizing comments made towards men. I have found that to be highly unnecessary in the past.

We are all a team here on 7 cups. 😊 One of the 7 cups core values is that "we believe in equality" and that includes our male counterparts. There are many listeners and amazing leaders here in our community that just so happen to be male and I deeply admire and respect them. In addition, I have friends and family members in real life that are men of which I also deeply admire and respect.

Thank you for, what I call, "being the example" on how one should offer help and support. This for me has been quite refreshing to see to today.

Mya, again, many thanks! *high fives* 😊 and *hugs* ❤️

@SparkyGizmo Hello, thank you for your response and support, I genuinely appreciate it. I would like to address a few points to provide further clarity.

Firstly, I believe there isn't a single “right” way to discuss sexism. It is a complex and destructive form of violence that women endure and navigate as best they can. I don't think we can blame women who are victims of violence for reacting with anger, negativity, or even violence itself. These reactions are understandable given the circumstances. I don't hold you responsible because such attitudes and words are unfortunately common in our society, even encouraged.

In fact, there is a concerning reversal where women are blamed for the very experiences they endure. Women face discrimination, insults, belittlement, and attacks. This does not negate the fact that men may have their own problems and struggles, but sexism is not one of them.

Indeed, we aim to be a team promoting equality, but regrettably, the reality falls short. Women continue to face discrimination. Numerous examples exist, such as the constant harassment experienced by female members and listeners from male members and listeners, or the fact that the women's issues community was only recently created.

I am certainly an advocate for equality. Recognizing the presence of good men is great, but it is vital to recognize the presence of violent ones. It is essential to mention these matters without stifling the conversation merely because non-violent men exist.

I hope my response is clear and provides a better understanding of my perspective. Take care ❤️

Why do you term yourself a “radical feminist”?

@Listenerwithoutjudgement Hello! I identify as a radical feminist because I strongly believe in addressing deep-rooted societal structures that perpetuate inequality and discrimination against women.
