1 I'm feeling good at the end of this week
2 Staying motivated and managing overwhelm was a bit of a challenge sometimes this week, but I feel like I navigated the challenges well with grounding techniques and breaking up big projects into smaller tasks
3 I'm really proud of the progress I have made on several household projects. I got a lot of decluttering done 😊
4 I'm looking forward to holiday festivities next week, especially cooking a holiday meal I've been excited for. Then, I'm looking forward to a day or two of rest and relaxation!!
@ShadowFaerie
I got all my Christmas shopping done 💚
All my chores ticked off 💚
The weekend shall be about finally celebrating my birthday, which was during the week, but didn't get to do too much.
Now, I shall go dancing 😁 💜
My end of the week is tomorrow, Sunday, as that's the last day of my work week. But since I'm here today, Saturday, I can give a response now too.
I'm feeling good.
There were issues I found at work, and had relayed the problems to the management team as an FYI on Thursday. Then, on Friday, during our briefing huddle at the beginning of my shift, the Supervisor brought it up. Of course, keeping it anonymous, and reminding staff to be more aware of those things, as it would help with getting lesser incident reports, and help with our quality assurance statics. So, it was nice to see that Management has acknowledged the points I brought up and acted on it instantly.
I had brought up another problem I found later that evening on Thursday, and in a separate email, asked a question to clarify if what I noticed was right or wrong. I got a reply on Friday saying that it was a good catch, and Management will be talking to that individual in person, and will take note of it for their performance review.
Talking about performance review, I was supposed to have mine done in the 6-month mark after I was hired. January 2026 will be my 8th month, maybe I get it then? I asked the Supervisor that I report to about it before, and she just said they've been so busy with the department and holding meetings with other teams, that they haven't had the chance to sit down with me.
Next week is Christmas. For the first time, I get to work on the 25th and 26th. Where it is considered as a Super Stat pay for the 25th, so that's nice. Looking forward to that. In the previous hospital I worked at, all Stat holidays, the Operating Room is closed, and none of us needs to work. But with this current hospital, it's open 24/7, so we must work on Stat holidays too. Just maybe that it'll be lesser staff throughout the day.
@ShadowFaerie
Feeling: Good!
Exciting: Devoted time to my checklists of things to do.
Accomplished: Marked numerous items off my checklist that have been difficult. Yea.
For Next: Keeping calming the holiday this and that, and maybe planning a little something fun to celebrate the New Year. Surely remembering gratitude!
