I can't land a job, any advice?
Hi, I'm a 17(almost 18) year old female. I've been looking for a job for almost 2 years and have only had a couple interviews.
I am an early gead from highschool, have 40+ volunteer hours and am part of a leadership group. I have a resume that goes I to my dual enrollment college classes, details on my volunteering and a great reference listed.
I have applied to practically everywhere within a 40minute radius everything from fast food server to clinic receptionist.
Am I doing anything wrong? It's really stressing me out not having a job since I graduated in December. Does anyone have advice?
@Green0verthinker7 You’re not doing anything wrong what you’re describing would exhaust and discourage anyone, especially after putting in so much effort and doing everything “right.” It makes sense that this is stressing you out; graduating early and wanting to move forward, only to feel stuck, can really shake your confidence. If it helps even a little, you might consider having one trusted person look over your resume or applications with fresh eyes, just to make sure your strengths are landing the way they deserve to.
