Validation vs Attraction

Dear Ladies,

I’m sure this probably a lifelong and nonlinear discovery. I’m wondering when it comes to men, how can we tell if it’s authentic attraction or I just need their validation? Could what I feel might be attraction actually be my subconscious need for male validation? I’m curious what others journeys are with this question!

When I'm attracted to someone, I can feel it, but I need something deeper for anything to progress, as attraction is transient.

But women are often conditioned to think they need a mans validation, but the only validation , we need is our own, and when we dont base our self worth on a mans opinion, then we have the potential to let things progress 🩵🤗

As you rightly said, this is a long, non linear journey that takes a lot of inner reflection and unlearning of social impositions. I think the only suggestion I have is to try to unpack how you feel, journal, reflect and try to track where the feelings come from! <3

@LovingPeacefulHeart it can be hard to figure out he difference, when the way women are raised often leads us to confuse being appreciated by a man with having a fulfilling relationship.
I think the matter is: what do you see in a man and a relationship with him? Don't just think about the way he makes you feel, think about the way he is.
Does he as a person - body, mind and heart - make you feel some kind of pull towards him? If you take that man's response to you or the way he interacts with you specifically out of the equation, would you still find him attracted?
These are tough questions, so don't worry about needing some time to figure it out. More people than you might think have gone through this kind of questioning, you're definitely not alone in this!
