The San Diego Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program is dedicated to promoting healthy food habits among low-income pregnant and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to support the health and development of women and children during these crucial stages of life by providing essential services such as nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and monthly benefits for purchasing nutritious foods. We offer referrals to medical providers and various support services to ensure comprehensive care for our participants. WIC is available for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and postpartum women, including those who experienced a pregnancy loss in the past six months. Eligible infants, children under five, and even foster children can benefit from our program.
