Located on San Francisco's Treasure Island, Walden House Residential Stepdown Northpoint is one of three residential facilities operated by HealthRIGHT 360's Walden House program. This transitional living environment provides housing for individuals who are simultaneously participating in outpatient treatment for substance use disorders or mental health conditions, either through one of HealthRIGHT 360's many programs or through external treatment providers. The Northpoint location primarily serves vulnerable populations including those experiencing homelessness, justice-involved individuals, LGBTQ+ community members, young adults, people with histories of injection drug use, and individuals living with HIV/AIDS. While this specific program follows an abstinence-based approach to recovery, it exists within HealthRIGHT 360's broader network of over 50 programs across 11 California counties, some of which offer harm reduction alternatives. This residential stepdown facility represents an important component in HealthRIGHT 360's comprehensive continuum of care for those managing substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and co-occurring conditions.
