HealthRIGHT360's Women's Recovery Association (WRA) Laurel House in San Mateo, California provides specialized residential addiction treatment exclusively for women. Since joining HealthRIGHT360 in 2014, WRA has continued its mission as part of a larger network that operates over 50 programs across 11 California counties. The facility serves adults 18 and older in a gender-specific environment designed to address the unique challenges women face in recovery. Treatment incorporates individual, group, and family therapy sessions, with educational components focused specifically on women's experiences with trauma, emotional regulation, relationship building, and self-esteem development. The program takes a holistic approach that includes evidence-based practices and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when appropriate for alcohol or opioid dependencies. Beyond substance use disorders, the compassionate staff are equipped to address co-occurring mental health conditions and related addictive behaviors such as eating disorders. The program features specialized groups for young adults ages 18-24. As a CARF-accredited non-profit organization operating since 1967, HealthRIGHT360 accepts state Medicaid insurance and serves diverse populations, including low-income clients, individuals experiencing homelessness, those on parole, and women with children.
