Understanding that teen struggles often stem from multiple sources including trauma, biological factors, and home environment, the center offers specialized treatment for conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and destructive behaviors including self-harm, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Their approach integrates family involvement as a crucial component of recovery success. The center implements evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Post Induction Therapy, Family System Therapy, and Psychoeducational Group Therapy. To complement clinical treatment, Polaris offers experiential therapies such as surfing, yoga, brain spotting, meditation, martial arts, and physical training, alongside creative arts therapy and recreational activities like hiking and swimming. Their clinical team includes doctors of psychology and psychiatry, pediatric specialists, and licensed therapists (LCSWs, LMFTs, and AMFTs). Polaris operates two residential facilities in Tarzana. The Mediterranean-style West Tarzana home features a panoramic balcony, pool, hot tub, walk-in closets, and private chef. The renovated New England-style East Tarzana residence offers a private chef, spa, and private terraces. Both secure, gated properties provide shared bedrooms, bathrooms, and spacious living areas in a private setting.
