Higashi Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii, established in 1916 in Honolulu, is dedicated to sharing the teachings of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism throughout the state. The temple serves as a vital community hub, offering weekly Sunday services and daily morning chanting, which are open to the public. In addition, the organization organizes various classes and events, including study groups focused on Buddhism in both Japanese and English. Through these services, the mission addresses spiritual well-being and fosters community connections. As a place for listening to the Dharma, Higashi Hongwanji invites individuals seeking spiritual growth and understanding to explore its diverse programs and support services available in the community.
