About WIC (Women, Infants and Children)
Inver Grove Heights' WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program is dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of eligible pregnant women, new mothers, and children up to age five through essential food assistance and comprehensive nutrition education. As a USDA initiative, WIC offers access to nutritious foods including fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, whole grains, and infant cereals, all at no cost to participants. Alongside free nutrition counseling, WIC provides specialized support for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, as well as valuable referrals to health care and social services. Appointments are conveniently available the same day you call, but we encourage early contact, as slots can fill quickly. When visiting us, please arrive five minutes early and bring required documents for verification, including proof of ID, address, and income. We look forward to helping you and your family thrive.
