About Adult And Teen Challenge Mens Portland Oregon
The Adult and Teen Challenge Portland Metro Men's Campus provides faith-based recovery services for men struggling with substance use disorders. Nestled in Estacada near Mount Hood National Forest, approximately 30 minutes southeast of Portland, this residential program accommodates up to 40 men for a comprehensive one-year recovery journey. The program operates within the larger Adult and Teen Challenge network, which spans nearly 250 centers across the United States and over 1,000 locations worldwide in 95 countries.
With a distinctly Christ-centered approach, the curriculum focuses on three core principles: recovery from the brokenness associated with substance use, reconciliation with Jesus Christ and others, and personal transformation through Christian foundations. Participants engage in spiritual practices including Bible studies, prayer, sermons, and spiritual retreats, complemented by vocational training opportunities. The program integrates Life Renewal clinical counseling, which combines cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and relapse prevention strategies—all delivered through a Christian perspective.
The Portland Metro Men's Campus requires participants to have completed detox before admission, as there is no medical staff on-site. To create an environment conducive to recovery, the program limits contact to immediate family members and prohibits electronic devices and smoking. Financial accessibility is addressed through a one-time intake fee of $500 with no additional monthly costs for the remainder of the program through Pacific Northwest Adult and Teen Challenge.
