If your pediatrician has ruled out any health issues that may be contributing to your baby's disinterest in sleeping, it is okay to put them in their crib and leave them for an hour so you can get some rest. Be sure they have a dry diaper and have been fed, then put them down for a nap. It is okay if they do not sleep, they will be safe. Try to pick the same time each day to do this and establish a routine, they may start napping after some time. Many babies go through phases of being night owls, if yours is keeping you up all night consider this same method. Just be sure they are getting adequate feedings.
