Someone to Talk to About Food Issues

Our relationship with food can be deeply emotional. Whether it’s stress eating, food restriction, or an ongoing struggle with body image, food issues can impact both physical and mental well-being. These struggles often come with guilt, anxiety, or a sense of losing control.

Finding balance with food isn’t just about diet - it’s about self-compassion, healing, and learning to listen to your body’s needs. Exploring the emotions behind eating habits can help create a healthier, more mindful relationship with food.

At 7 Cups, supportive listeners are here to help you work through food-related challenges. You deserve to feel at peace with food and with yourself.

Hi, my name is Wael, I'm here to listen & help as much as I can. I had several real life experiences in Psychosocial Support, & currently working as a Youth Care Worker with orphaned & abandoned teens. I also hold a master’s degree in Politics & International Relations. Please be aware that I’m not a professional psychologist nor a therapist by any means. Being born & raised in Lebanon, and coming from a biracial background, I always prioritized the human aspect in my social relations, & tried to treat people fairly & objectively, despite all the differences & affiliations that might exist. Listening is mainly a reflection of your feelings & thoughts, it can help you organize your feelings & look at your struggles from a different perspective. Listening isn’t finding solutions, judging, nor giving personal opinions or advice. Listening can help reduce the pressure you’re feeling, but it might not solve the problems or struggles. Some of our problems don’t have immediate solution or changeable choice, but still talking and venting out will help a lot in dealing with the problem and reducing its heavy load on your mental health. My areas of expertise are topics related to dealing with Stress, Anxiety, Racial & Cultural Identity, Bullying, Family Problems, & Social Anxiety. I’m open to discuss topics related to Loneliness, Addiction, Relationship Challenges, Breakups, Depression, General Mental Health, Managing Emotions, Parenting, & Self-Esteem. I prefer not to discuss topics related to LGBTQ+, Cancer, Disabilities, & Self-Harm. Always remember that your mental health should be your top priority!

She’s a great listener!
Es muy buena, me ha recomendado lo que mi psicóloga presencial ha hecho de manera simple lo que me han hecho en terapia presencial en meses
So far, I genuinely feel like she is the only person to have understood me. Like I’ve been doing therapy for a few years and this is the first time where I genuinely feel understood by somebody. I feel listened to. And then I really appreciate her because it feels like she’s guiding me through with questions.
