Bio

Hi! I'm Gracie. I love music, writing, film, basically all forms of art. I play the trombone and the piano. I'm an INFJ, and a Gemini – if you're interested in that stuff. And I love helping others and being there for them. I hope I become something to someone, but most importantly myself.❤️

The living corpse
Poetry / by GracieBunn13

...See more I died very early in my journey— Aged to see, not to be— I became an expert on living, Because it never came to me. Hidden away, I become known To the ends of my beginnings only, Locked the day I would awaken, Existing in my head as all uncomely. I lost before I passed the line, and now my ends are winning near, Waiting. . . for shutdown to finally clear, Waiting. . . for this slumber to deliberately disappear. Nothing ever came to me but acceptance, Losing in life, which they’ve given us. I died and fell much further—gradually every day, I became the living corpse, always underway.

All My Life
Poetry / by GracieBunn13

...See more All my life, my voice has been heard silence. And my heart has been a beat away from me, Slowing into hushed rivers of blood, Passing through as crimson violence. Fugacious waves of rained out sunshine Left rainbows over my washed-out eyes, And my earth straightened into a crooked line With dissipated orbits of tall tale lies. All my life, I mistakenly believed. Now I know that my fate is sealed to never be open—never be fulfilled. And disconnection will reign—impossibly relieved.

Still I Bloom

...See more I’m a flower immune to sunlight, growing askew where it reigns, Petals worn thin with sin I never learned to unchain Held upright by mere luck, not grace, not care. I learned how to lie in soil that keeps pushing me bare. Still I bloom– like I don't know any better. Inside and out, I'm peculiar, Brewing virulent nectar. I give my all– sugar and water, And I spit out poison-soft If I draw you in, not out of pity, Don't taste my bitter symphony and tell me I'm wrong. If I flinch when you grow closer, It's the only way I know how to stay Inside this body, molding in decay.

Endless Stream of Reminders

...See more The endless stream of reminders Left me stranded, salt-eyed and branded, Forced under in murky, punitive waters. The currents fed on my suffering, Teething open my guilty skin, Twisting remembrance into sin. I writhed against the wave's fangs.

Nothing'sNnumbness

...See more I cycle through life merely waiting for a stop, With empty eyes of irises full of clocks, Numbness coating each step, an endless drop– Fleeting from moments, self-stolen with locks. There's nothing of interest to desolate me, Black and grey hues haunt the sorrow of glee. Nothing became of me as I thought. I became a gloomy, silent whisper of nothing's not.

Emotional abuse
General Support / by GracieBunn13

...See more My mother is extremely narcissistic and emotionally abusive, though I would not say it's extremely bad, but it does and has damaged me. It used to be more than just emotional abuse. She argues with me a lot, yells, insults, or even just dirty looks. And she is not supportive one bit. She's only ever happy with me if I do something that makes her seem like a good parent, such as me receiving rewards or praise or good grades. I've experienced what emotional abuse does to a child early before I even knew what it was because I watched my older brother be treated so horribly and grow up to become distant, quiet, and seeking an escape through the Internet. He was really smart, gifted too, and he went to college for a year, but dropped out because he was dealing with mental health. My mother has never let him live that down. I feel very bad to say the least. I don't want to be fall down the same path he did because of her. I used to not talk back at all; I used to just let her say things to me. And that was horrible because i was just a child with a developing brain. I now talk back sometimes, not to make things worse but to try to get something through her that says she's in the wrong– but it never works. I also got very tired of letting her say insensitive and rude things to me, and to my siblings. I stand up for them when I can, and that really bothers her. She asks me if I'm mental and says rude things about how I don't have the right mental capacity or capabilities, even though I do. She only does those things to make me seem small, dumb, and unimportant. I'd hate to say it does, but sometimes it really, really does. And my brother tells me not to let her get to me, but it's hard to when it's so often. I'm a very kind, quiet person who never judges anyone, but I'm also very sensitive. Yelling makes me upset, and you can only imagine how constant yelling or insults affects me. I wish I could just not let it get to me, but i haven't found a way to not let it. This isn't a new thing either; she has always been this way. I've dealt with it for a while now, but when I'm dealing with so much it all builds up until it has to fall. I tell myself it'll be okay and one day she won't be able to bring me down, and I guess that's what keeps me going– knowing my future will have better days because I know my worth is more than what she tries to make me believe.

Pain
General Support / by GracieBunn13

...See more I have been in pain for months now, with no clear reason. I have had horrible digestive issues and health in general for years, and it seems like it only ever gets worse. I have gone to the doctor's countless times, and I am always left untreated. I only get prescribed more medicine, and medicine does not cure it entirely, and only temporarily. The pain became so bad that I tried to stop it entirely– I was tired of living with such pain. This caused more excruciating pain, and it did not work. Since then, weeks later, I have still been in pain. Though, I am not longer involuntarily throwing up against my will– only sometimes. But, there is never a time where I am not in pain. It hurts horribly; It's as if I have to endure such pain and all I can do Is hope, and unfortunately, hope has left me a while ago. I cry often because of it. I feel weaker than ever. I constantly space out when doing things because the pain overpowers my brain, and all I can focus on is the hurting and ache within. I've noticed that the people around me aren't the happiest when I mention that I'm in pain– because they care– but I wish they'd comfort me just once, and tell me that they're there for me. They say they don't like seeing me in pain and that I need to be treated, but I have tried... I truly want to give up. I don't want to cause more worry to the people around me, and I have tried to stop complaining about it, but even when you stop mentioning something, it doesn't vanish; It stays. I wish it would stop just for a day; I wish it would stop entirely, but I have been wishing for months, and not one wish has come true.

Facing the Truth

...See more I'd like to share a thought and experience from earlier today that I think people can relate to in their own way. ----- You're walking outside on a concrete sidewalk as the mid-November breeze blows gently. The sun emerges from the clouds and hugs you. The warmth cradles you, and you feel protected and happy. But you don't dare face the sun because it'll burn... You feel peaceful for a moment, but you won't face the truth because it is far too bright to handle directly.
