...See more There are days when it seems like my actual job title should be "It's alright to abuse this person, they have a disability and no one will believe them." Honestly, I work for a mental health organization and when I talk to leadership I can't help but wonder what happened to them. It's a vicious circle, they are ashamed, they think of a way to build a narrative around their actions, then do something twice as bad because every time they see me, they remember how awful they are.

...See more It seems like my company wants me to break and go away rather than hold someone in leadership accountable for their behavior, even though I am not the only person who has asked for support because of this person's behaviors. Even when my boss admitted to some of the things that I brought to hr's attention, they didn't do anything. I am trying to explain her behaviors again today, after submitting a third formal grievance. still trying to hope that they want to build something better than this and create a safe working environment. But it's hard to believe that at this point

...See more I am continuing a fourth grievance against my boss for harassment and a hostile and unsafe working environment. HR hasn't really taken it seriously so far, just asks me questions then when my boss says it's not true, concludes the investigations. It's really caused me a lot of pain to go through this. Seems like I was able to word my complaints in a way that HR is taking seriously now, but I guess I felt like that the whole time. I know that I am not the first person to complain about my boss's behavior so it's really been challenging to recognize that the company must just believe that I am a less important human being. She even admitted to some of it in mediation sessions, but nothing happened. So she just continues.. During the last mediation, she actually said she was going to continue doing exactly what she has been doing. So, they've piled on work, increased scrutiny and seem to have no intention of making sure things get better and no one else receives this kind of treatment by her. Just hoping that I will break and go away.

...See more It took me about 20 years to find a therapeutic that worked for my needs and I had to lose a piece of that last summer, my 7cups therapist, because of financial hardship. Then I finally got enough funds to include 7cups therapy again, and for these last two months the 7cups admin teams have decided to just not connect me to my therapist. They keep taking my subscription fees, and when I reach out, after a week or two or three they say "oh thought that was fixed." Or, near the end of the month, "looks like your subscription is cancelled can we charge you again?" It really brings up a lot of memories I have about times when I couldn't afford therapy or when people played down my needs for therapy. It's so confusing to be treated like this by people who work for the largest online mental health community.
