...See more I live in a very conservative Indian community, where most of our elders have very narrow minded thoughts , all my relatives think being pale and western looking is the gold standard  my sisters and cousins have faced so much racism and mesogeny from family and college and school, I’m so scared to go through all that , to this day they hide they’re accents and for years I covered my wheat coloured skin to look pale and they all call me beautiful, I don’t want want to live the rest of my life hiding my real self anymore, I’m tired , is anyone out there like me ? It’s been so lonely

...See more Iv been in eating disorder recovery  and out of nowhere my mom asked me if I had gotten fatter. I know she didn’t mean it in a bad way but it was really triggering  I feel invalidated for my effort and don’t like anyone commenting on my looks and I don’t want to relapse right now especially since I haven’t gotten my period back

...See more Hi I’m new here and wanted to know if there’s anyone here that struggled with body image and colourism  I had anoerexia for a long time and now I’m better but can’t seem to get my period back even after gaining weight , I’m struggling to eat a lot consistently, do any of you have any tips to begin hypothalamic ammenoreah recovery.  I have been having body image issues since I was 13 and even I cover my real skin colour because there is alot of colourism in my family and culture , I’m very ashamed for seeking help  but do any of you know how I can embrace my skin colour and body and get my period back

...See more I’m new and wanted to let out all my problems to like minded people, but I’m more comfortable with talking to a group of people with similar issues and who are 18 years ,and I don’t know how to do that can someone help with that? also , being here makes me feel like I’m wrong for wanting help because I feel like when I talk to a listener I’m being selfish and self cantered
