Am I missing out on best years of my life?
20 & Over / by crimsontime
Last post
April 17th
...See more Hi guys, So I'm 21 years old female and I'm a student. I live in student dorms and don't really have many friends nor do I go out often, actually I almost never go out. Well today there was this party in a student club that is basically next door to dorms and it was loud but music was great, atmosphere too I'm pretty sure and it was students only so people around my age were there Only problem I didn't even knew about it until it started Then I started feeling like I'm missing out on one of important student life experiences But even tho I wanted to go I didn't have anyone to go with. My roommates left for weekend, as did few of my friends. And ultimately I didn't want to bother anyone out of blue so I didn't even ask few that I could have. And I wasn't sure how to buy a ticket is is at door kind of thing or should I have brought one online? Still i feel like I'm missing out and I'm kinda sad about it. I think this kind of student party is like a once a year thing? I might try going next year but that doesn't erase that right now I feel like a looser. There were so many songs that I love. The dj is perfect. Usually I know maybe 1/4 of songs at party and rest of time I just dance awkwardly but this time I really wish I was there cause I knew like 4/5 of songs I guess i just wanted to vent so thanks for reading, and if anyone has any advice on how to be more outgoing, how to behave at parties, or how to enjoy life in general drop a comment :)

Falling an exam for 10th time

...See more Hi I'm Crimson, I've been falling this one exam for so long it's starting to feel hopeless. I'm aware that it is a hard subject and for 2-3 of those tries i genuinely didn't study (too preoccupied with other exams) but other times I did try but it feels like it's never enough. My professors ar no help either I've tried asking where to study from what to focus on but they alwas tell me to just study big things basic, and then on the exam day they ask everything BUT basics. I'm still not losing hope completely but my next exam is in 20 days and I've been staring at my book for last 2 hours and i just can't focus. I feel like I've tried everything Books Notes Audio from lesions Online classes But it's never enough The subject itself is so interesting but i just can't do it somehow It's too much and professors always expect us to connect it with other subjects some which we didn't even have yet. I feel so pressured even tho no one is pressuring me I feel ridiculous for still trying even after failing 10 times I just don't know what to do Time is running out If i keep on failing I'm going to repeat this year and it's just not financially good for me I don't know what to do Any advice? Some study methods? Or tips The subject is pathophysiology btw

How to talk to guys/girls via social media
Relationship Stress / by crimsontime

...See more Hi guys! Okay so for a little background I'm 20 and I've never dated before, never had a situationship or anything never even kissed someone and so I have no idea what to expect of a relationship or how to start or navigate one nor how to recognize a romantic interest Well recently I've gotten a few *** DMs from guys i don't really know bit we have few mutual friends It's not like this never happened before but I usually ignored those guys or just didn't know how to respond to texts beyond awkward thanks etc But recently I've been thinking of actually responding to those messages and actually talking to guys There was this one guy let's call him Ry. We texted a little for about few days when I was on vacation before I got to overwhelmed and felt unprepared and even unenthusiastic to talk to anyone, which is not bc of him, I'm just kinda dealing with bunch of my own problems, and so eventually I ghosted him I know, an *** move on my side but i didn't know how to talk to him nor did I know guy Irl so it felt better to just end it quickly Well today another guy texted me Hi, what's up, how are you... and I kinda want to respond but also I don't want to end up ghosting him too So I guess what I'm saying is should I even respond? And if I do how do I talk to him, how go actually talk to guys ?

ADHD is making my life worse

...See more Hey, so I was never formally diagnosed with ADHD so idk if it's okay for me to "claim" I have it or that it is ADHD I'm struggling with but most of my "symptoms" are textbook ADHD examples so I believe I do have it. To say I've always struggled with ADHD is a lie, when I was in middle school and even highscool I wasn't struggling nearly as much as now, but everyone says that ADHD can easily go unnoticed in childhood so I won't comment on that. It's been a few years since I've contacted my inability to focus and my struggling to do daily activities with ADHD. I know I should seak out help or just go to doctor's but I'm so very and irrationally afraid that if I do everything in my life would change for worse, so seeking professional help is out of question. Lately, read for last two or three years, I've been struggling with focusing so much that it is negatively affecting my day to day life as well as my relationships and my academics. I get up in the morning already exhausted not motivated and annoyed, then I waste some more time in bed either ignoring my countless alarms or scrolling on my phone. Then I spend more time being unproductive and time I say I would study in the morning I spend, again, on my phone or listening to music or oversleeping or doing just about but what I'm supposed to, maybe I saw a cool looking move and now I gotta know everything about that cute actor, or maybe I saw a new mini game I need to try or I just found a really good fanfiction and it's "only" 60k words so I might as well finish it etc. Then I go to lunch, take a walk, go to store and I feel kinda motivated all full of "okay niw it's my time I'm going to lock in" only to fail to even get started. So I spend more time doing absolutely nothing and when I finally do sit to study I read maybe a few pages, maybe even a whole chapter before I need a small break and I get distracted because "god when was the last time I cleaned those windows and bathroom could use a bit of cleaning to" so now I'm exhausted but also motivated thinking I'm doing good, so when I sit to continue studying not even half an hour later I'm already reaching for something else, like checking my emails or calling my sister or writing my "plan" for tomorrow (which always ends up discarded) and by the time I'm back to studying I'm exhausted but have done nothing of importance, I haven't finished what I was supposed to but I can at leas rest assured that my windows are clean oh thank God! I'm not sure how I'm supposed to cope with this. Maybe I don't even have ADHD maybe I'm just lazy and unmotivated, or maybe it's all my phone's fault but even when I try to turn it of I end up doing something else or just using my laptop (which I need for studying) for usles tasks like changing the background. But the point is I feel hopeless and I don't know what I'm doing or how to get my life back. I'm just so tired and out most of the time and I always focus on a wrong things. I don't know where I was going with this post, but if anyone has any advice or just wants to say something pleas feel free to comment

How do you reconnect with old friends?

...See more Hello everyone, for a little background let's just say that I'm very introverted shy, rarely rech out first or ask someone to hang out and I've never been good with people not maintaining relationships. That said i have several friends from highschool with whome i want to reconnect. With some of them i have minimal contact that is we share messages here and there for birthdays and holidays. But i especially want to reconnect with one friend, let's call her Leila. Leila was always a good friend with me, she's charismatic, optimistic, spontaneous and all in all great person. But we feel out of contact this year. Part of it is surely that we both now live in different cities so there are not many opportunities for us to meet, but I feel like the biggest part of it is that I've never knew how to maintain a hood and healthy friendship. I want to send her a message but feel like it's never the right time. And even if i sent a casual "hi, how are you, what are you up to" kind of messages how do I continue texting her? Do i chek in every few days, send her *** posts, or what? I'm lost i don't know what to do, please help
