Seeking advice! Care plan came in and I'm Confused

...See more Hi all, A little while ago, I mentioned that I had had a mental health assessment with a mental health nurse (querying potential bipolar). Well, I got the care plan through today and I'm a little confused. There's no diagnosis but they want me to work with someone on managing/regulating my emotions...? I'm not gonna lie, I'm confused as *** and feel a little bit like they've underminded my concerns and symptoms to 'you need to manage your emotions and it'll get better'. I was honest with them about the type of symptoms I had been experiencing for years (including sometimes seeing who I refer to as the Shadow Man and engaging in reckless and/or pretty risky stuff) - I don't see how managing my emotions can help this. If you've experienced this, could you perhaps offer any advice?

...See more Hi all. I've just had an assessment by my community mental health team for potentially having bipolar (I have a close family member, potentially 2, who have it so i know the chances are increased). I've been told that theyre taking the assessment to a table discussion and then a letter will come in the post for me with a plan on what will happen next. Is this normal? As the referral and assessment has happened so fast, I'm not entirely sure on the process so, I would be extremely grateful for any advice/ insight you may have on this. Thanks in advance

...See more I'm struggling a little with my PTSD - this Sunday marks the 5 year anniversary. I know I shouldn't dwell on it but, considering the type of crime it was and the result, its hard not to. I thought I had overcome all these emotions but it turns out I haven't. I cannot shake this feeling of guilt off my shoulders.

...See more Hi all. It's been a while but my depression has reared its ugly head and is now, essentially, winning our daily battle. I know I can win the war but, right now, it feels like I can't. I know I'm in a depressive 'rut' because I turned to food as comfort. I just need some support, encouragement and advice on how to finally win the neverending battle.

PTSD is out of my control - any advice??

...See more Hi all! My name's Sophie. I found this app by pure coincidence but it has honestly been a God send so far. In 2017, I witnessed a murder. I don't want to go into specifics but it was a bad case of wrong place wrong time. As such, I ended up with PTSD. Since then, it's usually been under control but this past 1-2 weeks, I genuinely feel like I'm having a mental breakdown. I'm snapping at everyone, I'm crying all the time, the sleepless nights and flashbacks have returned too. Consequently, my doctor has signed me off work. I know speaking helps but my family don't seem (or want) to understand the true scale of devastation this is having on me. Does anyone have any advice/coping mechanisms to help me better control this chaos?
