What's One Version of You That You Secretly Miss?

Heyyyyyaa You Lovely People💕

Today, I'm here to give you some nostalgic vibes😁

Whatever emotions those memories bring you up, allow them as they are! You are free to feel them💖kindly don't tag them as good or bad. They were just yours in that very moment!

timeless-vintage-art-poster_1751858089.jpeg

I'll go first, 'I miss the version of me watching the night sky for hours lying down on the ground with my friends, much carefree, not so worried about life, experimenting every new thing, dancing widely, fearless and living in the present, focused on the process'

Who were you when the world did not tell you who you should be?

And how can you bring that version back into your life now? Even a small part counts.

Have you seen a kid? Running after butterflies, chasing the dragonfly, counting the stars. Why did we lose our versions?

I know it's easy saying, there are tough moments, but they are equally a part of our lives just as joy is.

No matter where you are, I'm proud of you!

Regards,

Resilience (Resii)💕

The innocence that I had to believe in everyone, to believe what they say and do . The passing time made me believe that it's not what they truly value. I miss my gold heart version sometimes , I still am 😅 but it's just that with changing world around me I had to make some modifications and I think everyone makes , isn't it ?

I agree 😊 When I was 20+, straight from the therapy that was to remove the effects of my growing up in a toxic environment, I started to believe in people, naively thinking that all of them were promising and good. I miss that 😉

Through the years I had to modify this attitude. I still believe that there are some intrinsically good people, but there are also self-evident examples of bad ones, who reflectionlessly harm or attack other people (though may positively surprise sometimes). And there must be a majority of humans who are neither too good or too bad, but somewhere in between.

What is good is my mind is still happy to discover some new things, like 50 years ago.

I can only imagine how much difficult it could have been dealing with the tough situations of life in our young age.

What you said about different types of people existing in the world around us, that is what makes the world a diverse place. And that diversity is a cause for all of us coming together to realise what it means to be a real human💕Thank you for sharing your heart and your experiences.

Yes. I agree we are not born here as perfect beings, but these are our lives through what we are learning and trying to become "the least imperfect version" of ourselves 😊

I can completely understand what you say! And that truly shows how beautiful heart you have that you could realise what innocence was like when we were young💗

But definitely as and when we grow up and evolve, we need to make some modifications not because that innocence was wrong but because that is what life is. It's dynamic and it expects you to align with the needs of the time and age.

Also, we need not eliminate our innocence and childishness completely, there are people who love that part of yours and they deserve to be shown that part. What do you say?

Yes absolutely true , only to those who values it , respects it and can understand that version of us needs that transperancy . I completely agree with that 💯 . We are just made to hide our innocences, our inner child just because they made us believe that this is what growing up looks like .

Wow💖that feels so heart warming and soothing to read this. How can we bring that version back? Even for a few minutes in a day? Maybe you might discover something new and afresh about yourself? I do enjoy singing as well, come let's sing together😁💕

@resilience2025

I've thought about this a lot actually, I do feel like I've changed a lot from how I was when I was younger. I miss the version of me that was confident in himself, the version of me that was much more vulnerable (I have been a little better with this recently as I met somebody that made me feel things I haven't felt before, and even though her and I aren't talking anymore I still appreciate her for making me more aware of my emotions). I actually cried for the first time on my birthday (although it was a little forced) which sounds a little sad, and it was, but I honestly can't remember the last time I was even able to do that which I look at as improvement. I just think I was more enjoyable to be around, and I enjoyed more things when I was younger, I haven't genuinely laughed in a long time which is something I hope to feel again, uncontrollable laughter. Realistically I just think I miss the version of myself before I started to struggle with anxiety and depression, but I'm still quite young and know I have so much time to become better. I just need to surround myself with people that really see the value that I have and appreciate me for just being me, which is something I look forward to!

You have a real brave heart!🌟Thank you for sharing something so personal to you on the forum land. I appreciate your coming forward and stating yourself only to feel and allow yourself to feel how you feel.

That's actually real growth in action💙I can only imagine how much difficult times can be when things are all upside down, depressing and anxious. But that last line you said, "I'm still young and I know I have time to get better" that's really appreciable. Taking things easy but consciously is what makes things work out the best.

You are doing great. And I definitely wish that may you experience real joy, laughter and happiness sooner! Trust, everything will work for the better and with good people!

My innocence.

When all I had were questions and all that worried me was how long until I could go play

So true, that phase of having so many questions and asking them without any fears of judgement or embarrassment💓And then spending most of the time playing. How can you bring those moments now? Maybe, just going out all alone in the nearby park and playing your favourite sport?
