Feeling frustrated after graduation
Its been almost a month now that I seem to wake up everyday and it feels like a loop and i dont know if i can take it anymore. I recently graduated a few months ago and of course that means my routine will change, but i feel lost. Between applying to jobs which feel meaningless, not having much to do in the city where i live in, and not being able to sleep and eat properly/consistently, i am starting to get desperate. I feel like im stuck in this place, and it feels bad because i see my friends from other parts of the world doing some meaningful stuff, and living life you know.
If anyone else feels like this or wants to chat Ill be here :) also any new perspective on this is appreciated

changing from student to graduating and then trying to find your next thing is a big task... most people in your shoes feel the something like that. while it may seem like your friends are all moving right along life is a marathon not a sprint and different ppl have sprints in different parts of their life do not compare .
I hope you find your next chapter and it works out as you want it to.

Hiii Maple! 😇I hear you and I can completely understand how much this phase is tough to navigate as it's so full of uncertainty and internal chaos. Sometimes, it's added on by external expectations as well which creates another layer of pressure. Figuring out life living in a city that offers less opportunities than you expect might been really frustrating as well. Feeling stuck also creates mental and physical stresses that emerge in the form of disturbed sleep cycles. Seeing other peers' lives where they are contributing and building themselves makes us feel inferior or less.
But I will just highlight one great thing from your text that you said yourself! People doing something meaningful.
That clearly shows that you are looking for something that gives meaning, flow and satisfaction in your life. World renowned career coaches recommend making a Joy Journal for regular 30 days where you write daily what makes you feel expanded, liberated, gives joy and you can spend hours doing that activity. After 30 days, noticing patterns and shortlisting which options can give you financial stability and happiness works.
Try exploring some mentorship platforms, career counselling etc. They might definitely help.
But be gentle and kind with yourself, you are building your life and it's okay to be slow but steady. It's okay to not have it figured out all at once but repeatedly tell yourself, you will figure this out. Everybody has their own journeys, and comparison should be an inspiration to evolve and grow better, don't you think so?
It all turns out the worst before abundance and all goodness arrive in life. I trust you that you will figure this out but please be gentle, give yourself some good active break, and stay calm. You have the control over your life and your life is waiting for you to take just one step towards your success. Take it one step at a time and gradually everything will be sorted.
I'm there for you; you can ping up whenever you feel you wish to talk💖

Hey there. As someone in their early twenties, I relate to the period of uncertainty after graduating. It's a drastic shift. Your life is no more a part of a set routine. You're on your own. You're supposed to find your place in the world through processes like job hunting. This may seem like a never-ending loop. It is however, essentially stepping out of your comfortable shell and exploring the real world. Trial and error is a huge part of this transition. The wait may seem taxing and daunting but eventually, be rest assured that everything is going to be worth it. You've worked hard and earned that degree. And you will find a spot to prove your metal!
I wish you good luck with your future endeavours. Staying hopeful is the way forward.
