MISSING: Motivation

I seem to have lost my motivation. I can’t seem to bring myself to do tasks I’m perfectly capable of doing. I know I will feel so much better if I just wash the dishes or wake up in the morning or do laundry. Every time I try to convince myself that a healthy choice is better than a choice that may not really be contributing to my wellbeing, I always come up with a reason to stay stagnant. I find it difficult to do the things I love doing, and it’s just such a bummer. Some days are easier than others, but sometimes all the things we do in our lives to keep it running can feel so overwhelming.

@mewme0w I also feel the same sometimes.. But I tell myself it's normal to feel like this from time to time.. We can not be energetic and excited all the time.. These kinds of phases will come, stay for a while and then it will go away. we can go through this.

Hi

I work in the creative field and I know that feeling very well, my trick here would be relaxing my brain and not force it to do stuff

I just take few days off my work, sleep for 8 hours, sometimes more bc I usually get less sleep

Watch a show or a movie and cook myself a nice meal while spending time with my cats

Maybe go out with some friends or play a game

I do that and in a few days I feel recharged

I hope this helps you.

@mewme0w

Hi! I think we all have moments lacking motivation. I view these moments as a time for break, but when I really need to get motivated for a task, I usually take small steps to return to the usual self. For example, I would make sure I spend some time every day on the project I should finish. When I feel better, I would set a plan and gradually go back to my usual working hours.

Hope you feel better soon.
